Long Beach Ballet invites audiences to experience the timeless beauty of Swan Lake, a masterpiece of classical ballet set to the unforgettable score by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. This grand production features breathtaking sets and elegant costumes, bringing the enchanting story of Princess Odette, a young woman cursed to live as a swan, and Prince Siegfried’s quest for true love vividly to life. With a cast of more than 200 dancers, Long Beach Ballet’s staging showcases sweeping corps de ballet scenes, virtuosic soloists, and the dramatic contrast between the purity of the White Swan and the mystery of the Black Swan. Rich in romance, magic, and powerful storytelling, this spectacular performance celebrates the artistry, dedication, and tradition that have defined Long Beach Ballet for generations.

Megan Wilcox – Odette

Megan began her ballet training at age five at the Long Beach Ballet Academy and quickly rose through the ranks as a leading performer. She earned top honors at the Youth America Grand Prix and went on to compete internationally at the Prix de Lausanne and YAGP Finals in New York. Megan danced professionally with SemperOper Ballett in Dresden, Germany, and later with California Ballet in San Diego. She has also toured internationally, including performances in China as part of Long Beach Ballet’s USA Ambassadors. Megan currently serves as a faculty member and coach at Long Beach Ballet Academy.

Maté Szentes – Siegfried

Maté Szentes, originally from Budapest, Hungary, began his ballet training at age six and studied at the Hungarian Dance Academy. He danced with the Hungarian National Ballet before moving to the U.S., where he performed with Sacramento Ballet and later the Richmond Ballet as a principal and soloist. His repertoire includes major classical roles as well as works by George Balanchine and leading contemporary choreographers. Since 2021, he has worked as a freelance artist and guest principal with American Contemporary Ballet while teaching internationally with renowned companies and schools.

Lizzy Stone – Odile 

Lizzy Stone is a 17-year-old senior at Cabrillo Point Academy, where she maintains a 4.0 GPA while training at Long Beach Ballet. She has performed leading roles including Nikiya in La Bayadère, Myrtha in Giselle, Dew Drop in The Nutcracker, and Odile in Swan Lake. Lizzy has earned top honors at YAGP and ADC IBC competitions and has performed at YAGP Finals multiple times. She has also trained at prestigious programs such as San Francisco Ballet and Oklahoma City Ballet.

Katherine Gore – Odile 

Katherine, 18, is a four-year member of the Long Beach Ballet Senior Company, where she has performed in productions such as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Coppélia, and Don Quixote. She has competed in the Youth America Grand Prix and World Ballet Competition finals and trained at programs including San Francisco Ballet. Katherine has also toured China with Long Beach Ballet and will attend Ballet West’s Choreographic Workshop this summer. A dedicated student, she has maintained a 4.0 GPA and plans to pursue a professional ballet career.
